Tulita fragrances fuse the Ayurvedic principles of specific plant extracts and botanicals known to heal the Chakra energy centres into our blend of all natural fragrances.

Each ingredient is sourced from raw plant materials, such as essential oils, fractions of essential oils, naturally derived isolates, absolutes and resins
obtained from plants and flowers using distillation, expression and extraction
methods.  Each ingredient is 100% natural of naturally derived as defined by ISO 9235. 

Even the ethanol alcohol we use is non GMO, Organic Sugar cane ethanol from Australia.

• Traditional: Use mainly synthetic compounds that are designed to mimic natural aromas such as flowers, citrus and woody notes. Often include phthalates to make the fragrance last longer on the skin (and many other toxic compounds) but phthalates are well-known hormone disruptors.

• Clean: Created with safe synthetic materials and may list the ingredients for greater transparency (but not always). Most “clean” fragrances only have a few natural ingredients, or sometimes none at all.

• Natural: Each ingredient is derived from a natural source. Extremely rare in the fragrance industry due to high cost and highly skilled craftmanship required to layer complexity into the fragrance.

This sparked strong vision that Tulita fragrance would always need to 100% natural to offer you a daily dose of natural botanicals via your fragrance routine.

• Health benefits: By opting for a natural fragrance you are safely avoiding the chemical compounds often contained in traditional or synthetic fragrances that are known carcinogens and endocrine (hormone) disruptors.

• Community benefits: We ethically source our raw ingredients via our incredible partner Givaudan. From the vetiver grown in Haiti to the Jasmine grown in India, the livelihood of these communities is dependent on the farming practices of these plants as they have done for centuries. A fully synthetic world of lab made ingredients will deplete these communities from income and likely deplete the world of the abundance of botanicals grown and harvested.
  

Tulita Fragrances do not contain the chemical binding agents that are typically used in standard fragrances to ensure they last all day or all night. These toxins are not only harmful for your health as they are known carcinogens and linked to endocrine (hormone) disruption which can be especially harmful for pregnant and breastfeeding women.

These toxins are also harmful for the environment as by being long lasting and non-biodegradable, they cause harmful impacts when washed from your skin into waterways, as the chemical compounds do not breakdown, even in water.
Our fragrances have been crafted the natural artisanal way of layering structured base notes throughout to extend the wear time, harnessing the power of the botanicals and will typically last 4-6 hours.

We encourage you to re-apply Tulita throughout the day, each time making this a mindful moment coming back to the affirmation of each Chakra energy.

• Dry skin will not hold a fragrance as long, moisturise first with unscented moisturiser before applying fragrance. Well hydrated skin can hold your fragrance up to 30% longer.
• Apply to non-pulse point areas such as back of the neck, back of the knees, in your hair. Pulse points (such as wrists and neck) create warmth for the fragrance to accelerate the break down process of the natural botanicals.
• Avoid rubbing your wrists together if you apply to this pulse point. It affectively “crushes” the delicate top notes such as light florals and citruses and changes the profile of the fragrance.
• Apply to the collar of clothing as the fragrance will bind better to fabrics and natural fibres.

Once you open your Tulita bottle, it will last for about 2 years.  After a few years the fragrance will start to change profile as the lighter top notes will start to fade away, it is still perfectly safe to continue to use but you will notice that it will smell differently to when you first bought it.

To ensure your fragrance lasts as long as possible, keep the bottle out of direct sunlight as UV rays also damage the delicate top notes and may cause the fragrance to change colour which is very normal given the ingredients are all
natural and not synthetic.

Our fragrances are >55% organic.

We use organic sugar cane ethanol grown here in Australia which is more gentle on the skin that harsh alcohols.

We have opted for a non organic, (but still 100% natural) wheat ethanol for our Vikasa fragrance as it is better suited to the delicate fragrance.

We are certified vegan & cruelty free by Leaping Bunny International.

Plastic neutral companies are at the forefront of tackling the plastic crisis. 

350 million tonnes of plastic is produced every year and only 10% of it is recycled. 
Plastic neutral companies measure, reduce and offset their plastic usage,
for every kilogram of plastic used by a company, the company pays for one
kilogram to be collected or recycled on their behalf, that wouldn’t otherwise be.  Reducing the plastic that would have ended up in landfill or waterways that have devastating impacts on our animals, people and planet.

At Tulita we have worked to reduce the plastic from all of our packaging which is now only down to the small dip tube inside the fragrance bottle and tops of our 2ml samples.  We are working to reduce this even further in the future.

In an Australian first, we have also gone further than plastic neutral, opting for plastic negative certification means we are removing 2 kilograms of plastic for every 1 kilogram of plastic we use or x2 our impact.

• Plastic neutral: 1 kilogram is collected and recycled (that otherwise would not have been) for every 1 kilogram the company uses
• Plastic negative: 2 kilograms are collected and recycled (that otherwise would not have been) for every 1 kilogram that company uses.

This is very rare today to see this level of commitment, but we believe this is the responsibility of all modern companies and we are proud to be pioneers in this category as the first Australian plastic negative certified fragrance.

Yes, we have worked tirelessly to ensure all of the below components can be recycled:

• Fragrance Box: is FSC certified and fully recyclable
• Mailer Box: is FSC certified and fully recyclable
• Mailer wrapping: our minimal wrapping of recycled FSC tissue paper are all recyclable using soy based inks
• Fragrance bottle: simply unscrew the black atomiser spray and recycle the glass bottle or refill
• Fragrance cap: is made of real crystal and aluminum, it is designed as a desk ornament or Gua Sha massage stone once you have finished your fragrance if you choose not to refill
• Fragrance refill: simply unscrew the cap and recycle the glass bottle
• Refill Funnel: is lightweight alumium and can be recycled
• 2ml Fragrance sample: clip of the black plastic spray top and recycle the glass vial
